Advantages
The
Middle White is all white with thin skin and a fine coat. It has
prick ears and is easily distinguished from other breeds by its
short "dished" face and truned up snout. Smaller and more compact
than most pig breeds, the Middle White produces an early maturing,
quality carcase. The Middle White is docile and easily managed
and with less tendency to root or damage fencing when kept outdoors.
As mothers Middle Whites are excellent and easily handled. These
qualities are passed on to their cross bred progeny. Middle White
boars make a very suitable choice to put on other breeds whether
for pork or bacon production.
